Fri. Jun 27, 2008
Question:   can i buy a gun at a gun show with out them doing a back ground check?

Answer:  You can not buy a gun if it is not legal for you to own one
A gun show is no loop-hole for this
Each FFL at a gun show will run the same background check on you that they do in their store

how can you tell if an AK47 is Russian
06/26/2008
Question:   hello i was thinking of buying an ak-47 and the guy said its russian.how can you tell if it is or not?and which version do you prefer as far as durability?russian ect?and what would be a good average price? thank you

Answer:  First is price, a real Russian one would be very expencive

A Saiga is made in Russia but is not a true AK-47 since they are 'sporterized' when they are imported

Most people say their AK is Russian with no research or prfoof to back it up

Look for the Russian factory markings too

Chances are it's NOT Russian, or it is a Saiga Saigas are sold new for under $500-600

can i sell an inherited machine gun ?
Mon. Jun 16, 2008
Question:   can i sell an inherited machine gun

Answer:  NO
In fact you don't sound like you inherited it legally. That would mean it is illegal for you to own it. I suggest you get off the internet and talk to a real life LEO or lawyer aware of the gun laws and get the item in question legal before you do anything.

You can also call the ATF for clarification since they are in charge of regulating Machine Guns

MAK-90 muzzle brake
04/28/2008
Question:   Hey, I purchased a MAK-90 some time ago, and recently found out it had a threaded barrel. It had a cover over the threads that had been tack welded on, and after a recent trip to the range they managed to shear off (not sure why, but pleased with the result). Anyway, I recently purchased an AK-74 style muzzle brake from Tapco, and with some light use of a small file to get the welds ground off, I put the new brake on with no problem (it fits very evenly). But... it is a little loose, and though it does have clearance for the bullet to pass through, the opening is not nearly as wide as that on a slant-cut muzzle brake. As of now I have had no problems shooting with it (the bullet does not strike the muzzle brake on the way out---yet) But it is noticeably loose (it does have the spring-loaded pin keeping it steady, but it can be wiggled with the hand). Should I be concerned about it wearing the threads, or wiggling when I shoot and possibly getting more loose (to the point of being a hazard)? AK47

Answer:  without seeing it I can only go with what you describe

SOunds like a typical AK muzzle device

Go to a gun shop and 'wiggle' a few other types of AK47 you'll see that most if not all have some room to wiggle

Thanks,
